Our Policies
Reservation Policy
If you decide the British Shorthair from our cattery is the right choice, please keep in mind the following policy:
Please inquire us if we have kittens available. We will send you information about the current litter and kittens including pictures and video.
If you would like to reserve the specific kitten, you can arrange a meeting with the parents and the kitten.
Once you decide, you can reserve the kitten. You will need to pay a deposit to guarantee the reservation.
The kittens will leave the home at the minimum age of 12 weeks neutered/spayed with 2 immunization shots, deworming, health certificate, and CCA registration documents. The new owner will sign the purchase contract and non-breeding contract at this time as well as provide full payment minus the deposit. We will also provide 30-day complimentary insurance with our kittens, a sample of Royal Canin kitten food, and going-home gift bag. Our kittens will be fully litter-trained at the time of adoption.
We will provide support and guidance including feeding guidelines for each new owner.
We expect that new owners will take full responsibility for the cat including yearly vaccination, veterinary health checks, and proper nutrition.
In no circumstances our cats should be given to a shelter, used for animal research, or abandoned, which are stipulated in our contract.
We hope that our cats will bring happiness, joy, and harmony to your family.

All our kittens will come with a health certificate and 30-day free Petsecure insurance to provide peace of mind for the new owners.
Kittens also will receive 2 rounds of immunization for Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FRV), Feline Calicivirus (FCV), and Feline Panleukopenia (FPV).
The kittens will be dewormed against endoparasites such as roundworms and hookworms.
- All kittens will be neutered as they are adopted as pets. If you are interested in obtaining further information about the procedure please contact us via email: steffaniecattery@gmail.com, or call us at (416) 826-8963.
Breeding Policy
One of the key goals of our breeding policy is to produce healthy purebred pedigreed
British Shorthair Blue (BRI a) cats that correspond fully to the breed standards. The British Shorthair Blue standard can be found here.
We carefully select cats for our breeding program based on health, genetics, and desirable breed features and behaviour.
We focus on breeding exclusively British blue shorthairs. (see FAQ about Blue color) Almost all our beloved kittens are blue shorthairs. In very infrequent cases, because of genetic combination (recessive gene), we have beautiful lilac (BRI c) kittens. (see FAQ about Lilac color)
We don’t accept inbreeding to prevent health and genetic negative consequences. If you are interested in obtaining further information about our breeding program , please contact us via email: steffaniecattery@gmail.com, or call us at (416) 826-8963.
